Lived experience of burnout
Burnout: The issue we can’t afford to ignore
Founder/CEO of ROW, Sarah McGuinness has a fascinating lived experience with burnout, which she weaves into a talk that gives practical advice on how to recognise and prevent it from happening. Her burnout story has been featured on The Project, Stuff, newshub, and nbr.
In this workshop, she walks participants through her personal experience of reaching a crisis point and then recovery. She takes participants on a journey to understand burnout, the impacts, and what to do if you’re on the road to burnout or supporting someone who is. Plus, we talk about the essential ingredients of a satisfying life, developing trust and boundaries, navigating barriers, and enhancing self-care.
The workshop is grounded in psychology and designed to be engaging, interactive, and informative. Sarah weaves in leadership themes as well and the activities are designed in such a way that they can apply to individuals or be run later as team activities.
By the end of the session, participants have a better understanding of their own wellbeing, insights to reflect on, and they’ll have strategies they can take away to implement immediately.
Watch Sarah share her experience on The Project.
